Using Curry Sauce in Your Recipes

It is very easy to make Indian Curry. But the real challenge for many people is to get an authentic recipe that is spic and span like the ones we see in restaurants. But most of the recipes we find in restaurants are not true Indian Curry. Curry Sauce There is no question about that. If you have authentic Indian Curry, you will have no problem in convincing people that it is Indian.

But what if you want to have a good tasting Indian Curry? What if you want to be able to impress your friends and family when you are having a party? What if you want to learn how to make an authentic Indian Curry at home? Well, this can be a big challenge. Especially if you have no idea what spices are used in the recipe.

Well, it is easy. You just need to know how to cook Thai red curry chicken with a little bit of a spice and some more onions. But first, let us have a look at some of the authentic Indian Curry recipes that we all love.

The Chicken: The Chicken is a bit of a challenge when it comes to making a curry sauce. But what you need to know is, chicken must be cooked with utmost care. The best way to do this is to leave out the chicken pieces while browning the other ingredients. For this you can add onions and garlic butter rice along with coconut milk.

To make a chicken curry sauce, you need to get rid of the skin. This is the part that contains a lot of fat. So, use your electric rotisserie to heat the oil and brown the skin on the bird. Add a little salt and pepper to the bird while browning. Once you have done that, remove it from the oil and add the onion and garlic. Then you need to puree the chicken with the coconut milk until you get a thick paste and add salt and pepper to taste.

The Collard Greens: Now, this is an interesting one as these greens are very strong and you would not want to add them in the curry sauce unless you really want a tangy taste. So, you would take the 2 lbs chicken thighs and chop them into two pieces. Then add in the chopped collard greens and let them stew for about 15 minutes so that they get softened.

The Curry Powder: Well, since these are not as strong as the onions and garlic, you will not need to add them in the curry sauce. However, if you really want to add them in some shape or form, just let simmer 20 minutes with the fresh basil leaves. You can also add the chopped dhalmial leaves. If using fresh basil, just use the chopped stems while keeping the rest of the plant intact. Just be sure to not remove the leaves from the base of the plant.

Bring to a boil once you are done with this and add the sugar, mustard seeds and dried fennel. Stir to mix well and simmer for another five minutes. When you are through with it, stir in the coriander leaves and let the mixture cool down. Add the prepared curry paste to the food processor or blender and run a smooth paste through it. It will now be ready to serve.


How To Use: Since this is a more “raw” tasting curry sauce, you might want to experiment with adding other types of spices to it. For instance, I sometimes add chopped onions to the food processor and grind them up to make my own horseradish-like flavor. Then, when I put chicken in the marinade (make sure the pieces are chopped to prevent burning) I put the onions, garlic, ginger, mustard seeds and the spice paste to the meat and let simmer for about five minutes. Once done, I simply pureed the remaining paste into a bowl and used it to make chicken ala king or beef burgers. The taste can vary depending on which spices you use but it is a delicious way to use curry sauce.

You might also enjoy making a chicken parmesan or red peppers casserole with this dish. In this recipe, you simply heat some olive oil in a frying pan and add the chicken and cook it until it is almost fully done. Then, drain off the fat from the chicken and add red pepper flakes, chopped onions, bell pepper, garlic, and salt to the skillet and heat through. When finished, simply mix the ingredients together to create a creamy and tasty dish. This is also a great dish to serve to people who are watching your weight as you enjoy the unique flavors of the curry.

For a variation of this traditional Indian dish you could try a version that incorporates garam masala along with the spices. Garam masala is an extremely spicy mixture of Indian spices that is used to give food a distinctive taste and odor. You can buy garam masala powder in most grocery stores and often mix it with your curry powder to make a very interesting flavor. You could also make your own garam masala by grinding together dried garlic, cinnamon, cumin, nutmeg, cloves, and cardamom to create your own unique blend of spices.
